Bonnie Bhonsle is a candidate for the Bryan County Board of Education, District 5. A working mother, education professional, and longtime advocate for children and families, Bonnie brings both real-world leadership experience and hands-on knowledge of public education to the race.

After overcoming significant childhood challenges, including poverty and time spent in foster care, Bonnie understands firsthand the life-changing impact education can have on a child’s future. Her professional background includes management experience in the private sector as well as several years working in public education, where she has served in multiple student and school support roles.

Bonnie is committed to responsible growth, fiscal accountability, supporting educators, and ensuring every child in Bryan County has access to quality educational opportunities. She believes strong schools are built through collaboration, transparency, and community involvement.
